1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of richardsondpc.com (the “Site”), operated by Richardson Medical Corporation, a California professional corporation doing business as Richardson Direct Primary Care (“RDPC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. About Our Practice
RDPC is a direct primary care (“DPC”) medical practice. Medical services are provided only by licensed clinicians, to enrolled members, under a signed membership agreement and applicable consents. Our physicians are licensed in the states identified on the Site, currently including California and North Carolina, and provide care — including telehealth care — only to patients located in states where they hold an active license.
3. The Site Does Not Provide Medical Advice
THE CONTENT ON THIS SITE IS FOR GENERAL INFORMATION ONLY. IT IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT, AND IT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL CARE. NEVER DISREGARD PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE OR DELAY SEEKING IT BECAUSE OF SOMETHING YOU READ ON THIS SITE.
Use of the Site, submission of a form, joining a waitlist, or sending us an email does not create a physician–patient relationship. A physician–patient relationship with RDPC is formed only when you enroll as a member under a signed membership agreement and the practice accepts you as a patient.
4. Emergencies
DO NOT USE THIS SITE FOR MEDICAL EMERGENCIES. IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, CALL 911 OR GO TO THE NEAREST EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. FOR A MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS, CALL OR TEXT 988.
5. Telehealth and Asynchronous Care
RDPC offers care through in-person, video, telephone, and secure asynchronous (message-based) channels for enrolled members. Telehealth has benefits and limitations: it may not be appropriate for every condition, and your clinician may determine that a video visit or in-person evaluation is required. Asynchronous interactions are reviewed by a clinician who may follow up with questions or escalate your care to a scheduled video or in-person visit whenever clinically indicated. Specific telehealth consent is obtained separately as part of enrollment and as required by state law.Telehealth services are available only to enrolled members physically located, at the time of the visit, in a state where the treating clinician is licensed.
6. Membership; Not Insurance
Enrollment, billing, and membership management are handled through our membership platform under a separate Direct Primary Care Membership Agreement. If there is any conflict between these Terms and your signed membership agreement, the membership agreement controls with respect to medical services, fees, and the patient relationship.
RDPC’S DIRECT PRIMARY CARE MEMBERSHIP IS NOT HEALTH INSURANCE, IS NOT A HEALTH PLAN, AND DOES NOT MEET INDIVIDUAL HEALTH-COVERAGE MANDATES. MEMBERSHIP PROVIDES ONLY THE PRIMARY CARE SERVICES DESCRIBED IN THE MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT MEMBERS MAINTAIN SEPARATE COVERAGE (SUCH AS INSURANCE OR A HEALTH-SHARING ARRANGEMENT) FOR SERVICES OUTSIDE THE PRACTICE, INCLUDING EMERGENCIES, HOSPITALIZATION, AND SPECIALTY CARE.
7. Electronic Communications
By providing your email address or phone number, you consent to receive administrative communications from us by email or text message. Message and data rates may apply, and you may opt out of non-clinical messages at any time by following the instructions in the message or contacting us. Standard email and SMS are not secure; do not send sensitive health information through them. Enrolled members should use our designated secure communication platform for clinical questions.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: use the Site for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site or its systems; interfere with the Site’s operation; scrape, harvest, or copy Site content or data at scale; impersonate any person; or upload malicious code. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.
